About Activity

This binary worm project is perfect for introducing students to binary code! Students work through a series of steps, including planning, creating and evaluating in order to construct their very own binary worm.

The activity focuses not only on binary code, but also numeracy, measurement and fine motor skills. It also facilitates discussion about computer peripherals (digital systems). Each student can create their own, or they can work in partners. Either way, students are sure to learn a lot about Digital Technologies and have some fun while doing so! Best thing, this activity can be differentiated for various ability levels – the four challenge cards included make this easy!
